If you aren't a follower of my blog and you came across this randomly, you're probably in the position I was in about a few months ago. A nervous wreck, knee-deep in youtube videos, glassdoor reviews and google searches of what to expect during your upcoming Lush interview.

Don't you worry though, I've got your back! You honestly have nothing to worry about - and that's coming from a girl with severe anxiety. Sit back and relax, I'm going to share my experience from start to finish in as much detail as I possible can to help you prepare for your interview.

Dark Angels is a face and body cleanser from Lush. It's made from tons of different natural and organic ingredients with the main one being charcoal. It's retailed at $12.95 for a 3.5oz tub.

On the beauty side of the blogging community, Lush has always been very hyped up. Hauls after hauls, bath bomb this, face scrub that - to me, it had seemed like everyone was talking about it because it was the new "in" thing. Due to that assumption (and the fact that lush isn't cheap!), I never found myself hopping on the bandwagon and running to the mall to stock up on their products.

After having gone through a hiring party with lush this past holiday season, I had the opportunity to try the products out first hand, get educated on what exactly was in them and learn the importance of the ingredients being used. Being able to actually try the products out and formulate an opinion in a completely non-bias environment, my previous assumption had completely changed. Not only is the company cruelty free and all natural, but the products they sold were quality. I had finally saw what all the hype was about - and truth be told, it was all very well deserved.

I won't sit here and lie, though that previous assumption I had was squashed and my want to try their products was at an all time high, I was still very reluctant to try it out. I have very acne prone skin and It's really hard for me to find anything that'll agree with me and not break me out.

This Christmas, I ended up receiving Dark Angels as a gift (along with the bubble gum lip scrub - which is amazing by the way!). Now actually having the product in my possession, I thought "What the hell? Might as well just give it a go." and let me tell you - I am so glad I did. I couldn't tell you the last time my skin was this smooth. I keep finding myself wanting to run my hand up and down my face because it feels so soft. The breakouts are practically nonexistent; with the exception of the occasional small spots here and there, but that's to be expected with my skin personally. My skin is brighter and just looking at me you can genuinely see the positive effect it's had on my skin and even my attitude overall. Another plus is ever since I've been using this my makeup has been on point! My foundation literally glides on like silk, it's amazing. The cleanser leaves you with the perfect canvas. I honestly can't rave about this product enough.

Like I've mentioned above, I've been dealing with acne for a long time. Throughout the years, I've tried tons of different medications and gels/creams/soaps/etc and none have had this type of effect on me. "Dark Angel" is a very fitting name because it definitely is an angel in a little tub.

All I need to do now is find something to help with the old scarring I have and I'd 100% be content with my skin for the first time in a long time. If you're dealing with active acne or just have oily/acne prone skin, I'd recommend you giving this a go. It is a bit pricey for the size of the tub, but you don't need much during each use. Plus, $13 for glowing skin? Totally worth it!

Keep in mind everyone's skin is different, so what works for me may not work for you. From my personal experience, though, I do hold high hopes for it. It has only been 2-3 weeks of me using it, so if anything changes as time goes on, I'll make sure to update this post.

UPDATE 1/13: After writing this post, unfortunately, I have noticed some breakouts. I haven't used anything new, nor changed the regimen I had been using while I saw the results I spoke of in this post - so, the only reason I have for the sudden breakout has to be this. I think as the days have gone on, it's given me a longer timeframe to kind of show how my skin really takes to it and it obviously doesn't agree with it. I'm pretty bummed because I genuinely do like this product, I still completely stand by all the raving I did over it, but it's just not for me. Aside from the breakouts, my skin is still very smooth/soft because of it!

What's your favorite Lush product?
