"Our mistakes and our imperfections are not bad or wrong or failures - they are the finger prints of humanity and opportunities for learning, healing and growth."

I know, I know this is the most used phrase heard at the start of every new year, but in my case, it couldn't be more true.

But before I get into everything, though, I wanted to wish you all a very happy new year and I hope you all had a lovely time during the holidays with your loved ones. I sure did! I was able to go out to my grandmas house on Christmas Eve and spend the evening around my very loud and crazy family (ha!) and I couldn't have been more happy. I even put together a slide show of us all from we were children up until now and it was a pretty big hit. Took me two days to put together so I'm happy they all liked it.

Before coming into this new year, I knew a lot of things needed to change. Alot of people are very touchy about this - you're always hearing "why did you have to wait till now to start, you could've started a month ago!" or just general distaste for 'New Years Resolutions' all together. Yeah, it's totally true, I could've started a long time ago, but there's just something refreshing and less terrifying starting on a clean slate. It's completely rid of all the bad times, the mess ups and everything else that was holding you back in 2014. For me, personally, a clean slate is exactly what I need to make a change in my life.
